Andrew Shon: Story of 'Rejections'

andrewshon:

Provincials Recap

Over 4,500 students trekked to the Sheraton Centre for DECA Provincials this year, despite all of the obstacles they faced due to Bill 115. With the incredible dedication of teachers, parents, volunteers, and DECA alumni, the competition was again a success! All competitors and LDA-candidates were able to network with our corporate sponsors and one another, explore downtown Toronto, compete, develop leadership skills, and have a blast.
For the first time ever, DECA Provincials were featured on multiple media outlets. Omni TV, Fairchild, and Hispanos en Canadá took part in our festivities and had the opportunity to see what DECA was all about. Keep your eyes peeled for DECA Ontario on TV!
After an incredible magic show from Mark Correia on Monday night, everyone went to bed eagerly awaiting Tuesday. Provincials closed with three awards ceremonies on Tuesday, where we recognized all of our top placing competitors and named our ICDC qualifiers. Congratulations to each and every competitor for giving DECA your best!

To those of you we’ll see in Anaheim, get excited!
To those of you we’ll see next year in Toronto, we can’t wait!
To those of you who are going on to university, we hope to see you at DECA U!
